About me

Hi! My name is Pranay Banka, and I am a Senior at Irvington High School. 

Ever since I was young, I always wondered why people bought iPhones or iMacs over other phones and computers. They were extremely expensive, and I felt like they weren't very different from other technology in terms of use and practicality. 

But as I got older, I slowly started to understand why people bought the latest iPhones every time they came out. It wasn't necessarily because of their supreme technology but because they wanted to be part of a movement. 

Apple is so successful that its technology has become a sign of power, status, and even fashion. When I came to this realization, I finally understood the power of business, marketing, and entrepreneurship. 

Wanting to explore the power of business, I combined it with my passion for the Environment and Coding, and I created Enviducation. The mission of Enviducation is to educate students in Grade 3-6  about the various environmental problems that exist today through  an interactive game. We decided on targeting young kids mainly because we felt that educating them more early on would be more settling and impactful in their daily lives.

Currently, climate change is our nation's most pressing long term problem, and the only way we could solve it is by educating our youth and hoping that they carry on the same environmental awareness. 

I hope this little projects inspires others to continue innovating ways to advocate for a more sustainable future. Thank you for checking out my site and app!
